CHRIS MORTENSEN

Christopher Mortensen, 14-month-old son of Ronald and Lorrie Mortensen of rural Remsen, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1985, at his home. He had been ill for a year.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at St. John’s American Lutheran Church in LeMars. Rev. David Kramer officiated. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery, LeMars.

Christopher was born July 10, 1984, in Sioux City.

Survivors are his parents; one brother, Ryan, at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Cook, of LeMars; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Mortensen of Remsen; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cook, of LeMars and paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Crawford of Moville. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Jack) Grosenheider and Mr. and Mrs. Niels Mortensen.
