CHARLIE MILLER
LeMars businessman Charles E. Miller, 84, of LeMars, died Sunday (Nov. 8, 1987) at Brentwood Good Samaritan Care Center after a long illness.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars with Rev. David Kramer officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.
Mr. Miller was born March 16, 1903, at Bridgewater, S.D., to Frederick and Christine Behn Miller, and attended rural schools. He moved to Remsen in 1917. On Nov. 27, 1935, he married Ida Peters at Elk Point. The couple moved to LeMars in 1940 and operated Miller’s Lunch since 1943.
He was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church.
Survivors are his wife, Ida, of LeMars; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Charlotte) Kruse of LeMars; and two grandchildren, Tim Kruse of Merrill and Linda Kruse of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters and four brothers.
