Martin L. Larson, 78, rural Remsen, lifelong Plymouth County farmer, died unexpectedly Wednesday (July 5, 1989) at his home.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars. Rev. Gary Landsness will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Larson was born Feb. 14, 1911, at rural Remsen to Jens P. and Engeborg Nielsen Larson. He married Lucille K. Frahm May 29, 1945, in LeMars. She died in 1971.

He was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his son, Gary, of rural Remsen; a daughter, Mrs. Gaylan (Bonnie) Lassen of rural Remsen; a sister, Mrs. Merle (Viola) Neisius of LeMars; four grandchildren, Korissa, Tiffany, Daniel and Brittany Lassen.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Nis, Louis, Herbert and Henry; two sisters, Herlig and Elsie, and four infant brothers.
