VIOLET A. FRY
Violet A. Fry, 91, Casa De Paz Nursing Home, died Monday in the nursing home after a long illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Thomas Episcopal Church. The Rev. Daryl W. Stahl will officiate. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Thursday in the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.
Miss Fry was born Sept. 3, 1895, near Westfield, Iowa. She was raised in the Westfield area and graduated from Sunnyside High School in Plymouth County. She attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls and received a teaching certificate from Morningside College. She taught in the Sioux City school system for ?0 years.
Miss Fry was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Rose Croix Chapter; National Educational Association and Iowa State Educational Association. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in her name with St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
