DELIA F. RETZLOFF

Delia F. Retzloff, 93, of Sioux City died Sunday, Ju.ly 30, 2000, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center in Sioux City.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, with the Rev. John Hagberg officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Mrs. Retzloff was born Dec. 24, 1906, in Plymouth County, Iowa, the daughter of Frank H. and Mary (Miller) Bergner. She lived in several small towns in Plymouth County. She was a country school teacher in the area. She was a longtime Sioux City resident and taught in the Sioux City school system for many years.

She married Reno W. Retzloff Nov. 13, 1942, in Knox County, Neb. He died in 1950, in Sioux City.

She was a charter member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, where she was active in the church organizations, and Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Carolelee and Bob Larson of Burbank, S.D.; a son and his wife, Larry and Frances of Ilion, NY; seven grandchildren, Leisa, Rob, Jeff Stacie, Sean, Joelle and Elaine; and eight great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Chester and Elmer Bergner.
