Obituary

Glen Myron Kanago, the son of Charles and Lottie Fletcher Kanago was born September 20, 1896 at Adaville in Plymouth County, Iowa. He attended rural schools near his childhood home and served in the United States Navy during World War One.

He was united in marriage to Viola Rossbach on May 18, 1921, at LeMars, Iowa. Theymade their home in Plymouth County until the last two years Mr. Kanago has been a resident of Longhouse at Spencer. He was engaged in Carpentry and farming for 55 years, retiring in 1967. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the American Legion. He coached American Legion Baseball. He will be remembered especially as a wonderful grandfather to the Kanago children.

He passed away at the hospital in Spencer on May 2, 1985, at the age of 88. Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother and one sister.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Viola, one son and his wife, Eldon and Dixie Kanago of Spencer, three grandchildren, Kristi Frey, Bryce and Kerwin Kanago, one great granddaughter, Julia Ann Kanago, two sisters, Doria Campbell and Ina Young, both of Akron, Iowa, as well as other relatives and friends.
