RAYMOND HAROLD JENSEN

Raymond Harold Jensen, 59, rural Merrill, died unexpectedly Tuesday night at Floyd Valley Hospital. He had been at the hospital an hour.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Johnson Township, rural Merrill, with Rev. Olaf I. Rossing officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under the direction of Mauer funeral home.

He was born Nov. 18, 1910, at Sergeant Bluff, a son of the late Rasmus H. and Anna (Petersen) Jensen. He married Esther M. Utesch Feb. 27, 1935, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Merrill. He was a grain and livestock farmer and came to Washington Township, rural Merrill, in 1913 and had lived on the same farm until his death.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Johnson Township.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Esther of rural Merrill; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Sharon) Junck of Hinton; a son, Randall of LeMars; three sisters, Olga Peteron and Eva Nye of Sioux City and Matie Baker of Merrill and three grandchildren.
