Carl Albert Seel, 83, of Marcus, died Friday (Jan. 25, 1980) in a retirement home at Remsen of a long illness. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Peace Lutheran Church in Marcus. Rev. Lambert Schroeder officiated. Burial was in the Marcus-Amherst cemetery under the direction of the Nelson-Mauer funeral home of Marcus.

Mr. Seel was born Oct. 12, 1896, at Remsen. He was a lifelong area farmer. He married Mrs. Grace Powell Carson June 16, 1933, at Marcus.

Survivors are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Alberta) Richman of Onawa; one stepson, Karroll M. Carson of Sioux City; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Fred and John, both of Remsen.
