Obituary
Mrs. Albert Erks, 61, 4521 Floyd Blvd., Sioux City, died Thursday at Sioux City St. Luke East Hospital after an illness of about seven years. She had been hospitalized nine days.Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church, 4412 Central, Leeds, Sioux City, with Rev. Roger Kiemz officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under the direction of the Mauer funeral home of LeMars. Prayer services will be at 8 p.m. Friday.
The former Anne M. Beeck, she was born Jan. 16, 1911, in Plymouth county, a daughter of the late Gustav and Christina Mangelsen Beeck.
She married Albert Erks Oct. 19, 1929, at Pipestone, Minn. She had lived in Plymouth County as a young woman and had lived most of her married life at Sioux City.
She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Sioux City.
Mrs. Erks was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Survivors are her husband, Albert, of Sioux City; a daughter Mrs. Mark (Delores) James of Sioux City; two sons, Dale of Battle Lake, Minn., and Dennis of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Martha) Ludwigs of Chatsworth, Mrs. Clara Molzen and Mrs. Richard (Marie) Plueger, both of LeMars; two brothers, Henry and Alfred Beeck, both of LeMars; and seven grandchildren.
