SOUTH SIOUX CITY --- Patrick Arnold Barclay, 39, of Lincoln formerly of South Sioux City, died Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in an automobile accident following a diabetic reaction.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City, with the Rev. Alex T. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, with the family present after 6 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Barclay was born May 14, 1961, in Sioux City, the son of Roy A. and Jean (Wiseman) Barclay. He graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1979. He studied police science at Western Iowa Tech Community College and graduated from Morningside College in 1985. He was employed with the Department of Social Services in Lincoln.

Survivors include his mother, Jean Trudell, of South Sioux City; his father and stepmother, Roy and Sharon Barclay of South Sioux City; three sons, Cody, Ryan and Austin of Lincoln; four brothers, Ron and David, both of South Sioux City, Rex of Emporia, Kans., and Don of Cleveland, Mo.; a sister, Barb Vondrak, of Hinton, Iowa; and his special friend, Mary Lueck of Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Edward L. Trudell.

Pallbearers will be Jack and Scott Sevier, Scott Arneson, John Carpenter, Kim Wenger, Ricahrd Wiseman and Richard Vondrak.
