LE MARS, Iowa – Kelly Kathryn Hageman, 42, of Aurelia, Iowa, formerly of LeMars, died of leukemia Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia, with the Rev. Larry G. Lemke officiating.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Feuerstein Funeral Home in LeMars. Visitation will resume 9 a.m. Friday at the church.

Mrs. Hageman was born Aug. 5, 1958, in LeMars, the daughter of Melvin and Elaine (Ahlrich) Koerner.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was raised in LeMars and graduated Community High School in 1977.

She married William “Bill” Hageman on Feb. 28, 1992, in rural Hinton.

The couple had been residents of Aurelia for four years, where she was employed with Francis’s Tap.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia and enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing.

Survivors include her husband; four children, Matthew, Stacie, Amber and Marissa; a stepson, Reese; her mother, Elaine Cronin of LeMars; her father, Franik Wilhelmi of LeMars; two sisters, Renee Von Hagel of LeMars and Dawn Sitzmann of Sergeant Bluff; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Jamie and Angie; a brother, Rodney Koerner.
