JACK GROSENHEIDER

Jack Grosenheider, 71, of LeMars died Friday (April 22, 1983) at a residence in LeMars.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John’s American Lutheran Church in LeMars. Revs. David Kramer and William Striepe officiated. A prayer service was at 8 p.m. Sunday at Mauer Funeral Home. Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Henry John Grosenheider was born Jan. 27, 1912, in Plymouth county to Emil and Anna Pageler Grosenheider. He worked for the city of LeMars until his retirement in 1974. He married Dorothy Zimmerman March 29, 1939, in LeMars. She died in 1977.

He was a member of the LeMars Eagles and a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors are a daughter: Mrs. Dale (Marilyn) Cook of LeMars; a son, Robert of LeMars; four brothers, Alvin, Emil Jr., William and Lloyd, all of LeMars; four sisters, Mrs. Theodore (Minnie) Ruether, Mrs. Hilbert (Lula) McClintock, Mrs. Ernest (Anna) Charleson and Mrs. William (Arlene) Grady, all of LeMars; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two granddaughters and a sister, Lorraine.
