JOHN KISSINGER

John H. Kissinger, 61, Camarillo, Calif., a LeMars native and former businessman here, died Christmas day (Dec. 25, 1978) at a Pleasant Valley hospital after an unexpected illness.

He had operated the LeMars Stationery store.

The Kissingers lived at 6304 Village 6, Camarillo, Calif.

John was born March 25, 1917, in LeMars. He had lived in Ventura County, California, for the last 15 months, going there from Boulder City, Nev.

He was a retired owner-operator of an office supply store.

Mr. Kissinger was a member of the board of directors of the YMCA and on the board of directors of Water and Power in Worthington, Minn. He also was a member of the Elks lodge and a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army.

Surviving are his wife, Lois, of Camarillo; son, Thomas H. of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; daughters, Mrs. Patricia Russ of Westlake Village, Calif., Mrs. Peggy Rumsch of Anoka, Minn., Mrs. Betty Gallagher of St. Paul, Minn., Joni Jean Kissinger of Boulder City, Nev.; sisters, Neva Dunn of Oregon, Marcie Root of Jensen Beach, Fla.; brother Don Kissinger of Des Moines, and six grandchildren.

Services were held Dec. 28 at Griffin Brothers funeral chapel, Camarillo.

Burial was at sea.
