MICHAEL CONNOR

Michael F. Connor, 91, LeMars native and lifelong resident, died Thursday morning (Dec. 28, 1978) at Happy Siesta retirement home in Remsen.

Mr. Connor had lived only recently at the retirement home after a hospitalization at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.

He was born June 8, 1887, in Stanton township, Plymouth County, to John and Margaret Considine Connor. He farmed in Stanton township until moving to LeMars in 1967 where he since resided.

His marriage to Anna Burke took place in LeMars Nov. 22, 1937. Mrs. Connor died in September 1970.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic church in LeMars with Rev. George McFadden officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery, Lincoln township.

Friends may call at the Luedke funeral home in LeMars after 3 p.m. Friday. The parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors are several nieces and nephews.
