MYRNA M. ANDERSON

Myrna M. Anderson, 82, of LaGrande, Ore., formerly of Sioux City and LeMars, Iowa, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at Grande Ronde Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a remembrance service at 7 p.m. at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City. Arrangements in LaGrande were under the direction of Loveland Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Anderson was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Plymouth County, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Long. She was raised and attended high school in LeMars.

She married Bernard Anderson in 1937. The couple moved to Sioux City in 1946. She was employed as a department manager with Sears for over 20 years.

She was a former member of Bethany Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church in LaGrande.

Survivors include two sons, Bernard “Bernie” J. of Troy, Tenn., and Thomas L. of Deep Haven, Minn.; two daughters, the Rev. Nancy J. Anderson of Fredrickton, New Brunswick, Canada, and Helen Jean Whitmore of Summerville, Ore.; a sister, Rose Bolser of LeMars; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
