LIFE’S END
Roy Bouma, 47, Dies At Farm Home; Set Remsen Rites

Roy Laverne Bouman, 47, died Tuesday at his farm home near Alton. He had been in ill health for about three months.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen. Reverend Paul Wuebben will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in LeMars.

Roy was born July 12, 1919, in Fredonia Township. He served in the Army Signal Corps for over 3 1/2 years. He was married to Doris Miller, February 2, 1944, at Oyens. He had been engaged in farming the last 21 years.

Surviving are his wife, Doris; three children, Rhonda, Kenneth and Beverly, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Lou Bouma of LeMars and a brother, Melvin, also of LeMars. He was preceded in death by his father.

The Moeller funeral home of Remsen is in charge of arrangements.
