MRS. W. C. AIRD DIES AT HOSPITAL

Mrs. W. C. (Iola Pearl) Aird, 86, Route 1, LeMars died Thursday at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars after having been hospitalized six weeks. She suffered a fall December 4, sustaining a broken hip. She had been hospitalized since.

Iola Pearl Clarke was born December 21, 1880, in Plymouth County and was a lifelong resident of the LeMars vicinity. She was the daughter of Scott and Mary (Willis) Clarke.

Her marriage to Mr. Aird took place March 4, 1908, in LeMars.

For many years Mr. and Mrs. Aird had driven south for the winter where they spent much time with their daughter at Albuquerque.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in LeMars. Rev. James Ransom will officiate in burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in LeMars. Mauer funeral home in LeMars is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Aird was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, and various church women's groups.

Survivors are her husband, Walter of LeMars; two daughters, Alice Aird of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Mrs. E. J. (Margaret) Lloyd of Rockville, Maryland; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Doris Paul of Muskogee, Oklahoma; Mrs. Gladys Thurber, Monrovia, California; and Marian Clarke of San Francisco; and two brothers, Rev. Lloyd Clarke of Watertown, New York, and Kenneth Clarke of Westgate, Oregon.
