LE MARS, Iowa -- Rosemary Dunham, 74, of Sioux Center, Iowa, died Friday, June 20, 2003, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. Gary Landsness officiating. Visitation will begin 9 a.m. Tuesday, with the family present from noon until service time, at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Rosemary Baughman was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Bloomfield, Iowa, the daughter of J. Kyle and Mary Louise (Bandel) Baughman. Her mother passed away when Rosemary was 5 years old. She went to live with extended family until she was older and then returned to live with her father. She graduated from Ottumwa (Iowa) High School in 1947.

On June 30, 1948, Rosemary and Richard "Dick" Dunham were united in marriage at San Antonio, Texas. Dick was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force so the family lived in various areas around the world. They had been stationed in England and Guam, and other places throughout the United States. The family was living in Bellevue, Neb. (Offutt Air Force Base) when Dick retired from the military. Rosemary and Dick retired to Kimberling City, Mo. Dick passed away on Aug. 17, 2000. Rosemary moved to Kosgrove Estate in Sioux Center in October 2001.

Rosemary had been a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Kimberling City. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi and served as a Scout leader when her children were younger. She excelled in her role as a homemaker and loved to care for her husband and children. Rosemary also enjoyed quilting, cross-stitch and other types of handwork. She liked woodworking and crafts.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Linda Esselman of Kimberling City, and Kim Regan and her husband, Kevin of Le Mars; a son, Jeffrey Dunham and his wife, Loretta Hido of Cottonwood, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Nola Esselman of Kimberling, and Kyle, Brenna and Tate Regan of Le Mars; a sister, Christine Short of Kimberling; and a brother, Dean Baughman and his wife, Norma of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

In addition to her husband, Dick, Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, JoAnn Carter.
