EDNA F. ANDERSON

Edna F. Anderson, 93, of Sioux City died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron, Iowa, with the Rev. A. Pete Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8:30 p.m. today at Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City.

Mrs. Anderson was born November 9, 1905, in Union County, South Dakota, the daughter of Amund O. and Emma (Sanda) Kjose. She was raised in the Akron area and attended country school and Akron high school.

She married Carl Anderson on September 17, 1927, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was employed as a clerk with Akron Drug Store and Akron Bowling Alley. She moved to Sioux City in 1970. She was then employed as a receptionist/hostess with Christy Funeral Home, until retiring in 1989.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron and attended Emanuel Lutheran Church in Sioux City.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Elaine and J.D. Manion of Gainesville, Florida; six grandchildren, Michael and John Anderson, Cindee Gapp, Vickee Palfcan, Tim and Lisa Manion; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Duane; a brother, Clarence Kjose; and two sisters, Grace Satter and Lillian Kjose.

Memorials in her name may be directed to the family.
