Wayne Brouillette, 83, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at a Sioux City nursing home.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Merlin Schrad officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 9 p.m. Monday, with family present 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at Larkin Northside Funeral Home.

Mr. Brouillette was born Dec. 15, 1917, in Westfield, Iowa, the son of Ezra and Cora (Paquin) Brouillette. He moved to Sioux City as a young child and graduated from Central High School in 1937. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps, stationed in India.

He married Evelyn R. Moeller on Sept. 30, 1946, in Sioux City. She died July 12, 2001, in Sioux City.

After his military service, he worked for Ryal-Miller Chevy Company in the body shop. In 1959 he opened the Brouillette Body Shop, which he owned and operated until he retired in 1982.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards and cooking. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and served as president of the Men's Club in 1966. He was an active supporter of Heelan High School and helped with the building of Memorial Field.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Robert and Judi of Valencia, Calif., Ron and Virginia of Portland, Ore., and Scott and Ann of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother and his wife, Freeman and Arlene Brouillette of Sioux City.

He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan; a brother; and four sisters.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
