Dorothy Breyfogle, 69, of Sioux City died Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Don Wood officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Dorothy was born April 1, 1935, in Le Mars, Iowa, to Glen Hinde and Doris (Bailey) Hinde. She grew up in Le Mars, where she attended and graduated from Le Mars High School.

She married Fields Breyfogle on Oct. 26, 1956, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sioux City. She was a nanny for Joe and Stephanie Audino for about 10 years. She also worked at the Christian Family Shelter for five years.

She had an enormous love for children and the needy. She also had a close relationship with her Lord. The couple had been attending First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Fields of Sioux City; three daughters, Judy McConnehey of Oklahoma City, Okla., Debra and her husband, Jeffrey Kolln of Yelm, Wash., and Lisa and her husband, Charles Hanner of Lincoln, Neb.; a son and his wife, Steve and Barbara Breyfogle of Woodbridge, Va.; and eight grandchildren, Ryan Rogers, Jamie McConnehey, James Seiler, Stephanie Seiler, Jennifer Foecking, Jesse Hanner, Stephanie Vogle and Kristopher Breyfogle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a twin brother, Darald Hinde.
