HARRY A. BUSS

Harry A. Buss, 92, of LeMars, died Thursday, March 24, 1994, at The Abbey of LeMars.

Harry August Buss was born Feb. 14, 1902, in Hoskins, Neb., the son of Herman and Louise (Miller) Buss. He grew up in the Hoskins area. Mr. Buss married Helen Neitzke on April 8, 1928. The couple farmed in the Hoskins area until 1944 when they moved to rural LeMars. He retired from farming in 1978. He had been active in the Grace Lutheran Church in LeMars.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, Dennis, Val and Lynn and his wife LaNette, all of rural LeMars; four daughters, Delaine and her husband Earnest Plueger of LeMars, Eunice and her husband Richard Koontz, of Columbus, Ohio, Maxine Smith of Columbus, Ohio, and Diane and her husband Kenneth Moorehead of Salem, Ore.; one brother, Rueben of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Martha Behmer of Hoskins, Neb., and Ella Muhs of Norfolk, Neb.; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Frank; four sisters, Ann, Lilly, Hilda, and Hattie; one grandson, Reuben; and a son-in-law, Robert E. Smith.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Larry Fett officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery, LeMars. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Monday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home, LeMars.
