MRS. GEORGE BUNJES
Mrs. George (Gesine) Bunjes, 82, longtime LeMars resident, died Aug. 6, 1977, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars after an illness of one day.
Gesine Wilhelmine Braams was born April 18, 1895, in Gohlenbergerfelt, Germany, to Bernd and Franke Nordman Braams. She came to LeMars in 1930 and had since lived here.
Her marriage to George F. Bunjes took place Nov. 6, 1916, in Zetel, Germany.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in LeMars with Rev. Allen H. Brutlag officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens near LeMars under direction of the Mauer funeral home in LeMars.
Survivors are two sons, Walter G. and Heino B.G. Bunjes, both of LeMars; three daughters, Mrs. Veto (Wilma) Vets, Sioux City; Mrs. Arnold (Hildegard) Hammond, Sioux City; Mrs. Gilbert (Mary) Morfitt;, Williston, N.D.; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran church.
Mrs.Bunjes was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1975 and by a grandson, Steven; four brothers and two sisters.
