EMELIA BOGH

Emelia Bogh, 82, of LeMars, died Tuesday, February 4, 1992, at Floyd Valley Hospital.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars with Reverend Gary Landsness officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today (Thursday) with the family president from 7-8 p.m., at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mrs. Bogh was born April 18, 1909, in Marcus, the daughter of Peter L. and Christina (Sandbek) Miller. She was raised in the Marcus area and was baptized at the Danish Lutheran Church in Marcus. She taught school near Marcus prior to her marriage to Ray Bogh on May 25, 1929, in Marcus. The couple operated a large dairy and trucking operation in the Oyens area. Emelia also traveled extensively. He died in 1972.

Mrs. Bogh was active in the Senior Center’s peer groups and was a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church in LeMars. She also traveled extensively.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Mesman of Ontario, Calif., and Donna Roche of Salinas, Calif.; two sons, Keith Bogh, of Rossville, Ga., and Bill Bogh of Ringgold, Ga.; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Esther Galvin of Cedar Rapids, Martha Miller of Marcus, and Rose Olsen of Lincoln, Neb.; and a brother, Herman Miller of LeMars.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, husband and eight brothers and sisters.

A memorial has been established in her name with the Plymouth County Cancer Society.
