A number of friends and former neighbors and attended the funeral services of William Garvey, 50, in Sioux City, who died Monday in a local hospital. Services were held Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Reverend James Slattery officiated and burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Garvey; a daughter, Mrs. Andrew Keenan of Kalamazoo, Michigan; and a son, James Earl Garvey of Sioux City; his father, Philip Garvey of Leeds; two brothers, Edward and Fred; and a sister, Mrs. Miles Barrett of this vicinity.
