Edith Manz
Mrs. Edith Augusta Manz, 96, who made her home for a number of years with a daughter, Mrs. Charles Eves, in LeMars, wintering in Florida, died Tuesday, June 5, 1979, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars. She had been in the hospital four days.
Edith Augusta Hauser was born September 26, 1882, at Mankato, Minnesota, to Nicholas and Lillian Hauswald Hauser. She came to Iowa as a child and spent most of her life in Iowa.
She traveled with her husband in the carnival business and travel during the summers. They spent the winter is in Texas.
After the death of her husband in 1958, she lived with a granddaughter, Mrs. Everette Hageman in the summer and spent winters with her daughter, Fern Eves, in Florida.
She married George E. Manz at Merrill, December 20, 1904.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter Eva, a granddaughter, three sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. Manz was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Mauer funeral chapel, LeMars, with Rev. H. O. Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Merrill Hillside Cemetery.
Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Eves, LeMars; four grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
