Florence M. Klemme

Florence Marie Klemme, 84, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and lifelong Plymouth County resident, died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, in a Sioux Falls hospital.

Florence Klemme was born Sept. 23, 1918, in Hawarden, the daughter of Charles and Anna (Mochlmann) Busch. She married Leslie Klemme of Akron on June 28, 1938, in Hawarden.

Mrs. Klemme was a teacher in a rural school and actively worked with her husband as they farmed in Preston Township all their married life. They retired in 1980.

She was a lifelong member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in rural Akron.

Survivors include her children: Stan Klemme and his wife, Anita, of Santa Ana, Calif., Glenda Jurgens and her husband, John, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Keith Klemme, DR DC, of Milford; her grandchildren, Kirk Jurgens and his wife, Stephanie, and Wendi Kotlinsky and her husband, Max, all of Sioux Falls, S.D.; her great grandchildren, Andrew and Jarron Jurgens; and Alex Kotlinsky; her brother Harold Bush and his wife, Brownie, of Hawarden; and sister-in-law, Darlene Youngstrom and her husband, Richard, of Kansas City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Busch; her husband, Leslie; brothers, Carl, George, Walter, Arthur, and John, and a sister, Carla Heuer.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, rural Akron, with the Rev. William Kallestad officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
