Mrs. M. E. Donahoe, Mrs. Ed O'Connor's Mother Died Sunday

Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Donahoe died at the Sacred Heart hospital Sunday, April 2, after an illness of 10 days. The well known LeMars resident was 76 years of age at the time of her death.

Mrs. Donahoe was born in Galena, Ill., Jan. 14, 1874 and moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Kern, to Carnes when she was 12 years old. She later moved to LeMars and has made her home there ever since.

Margaret Elizabeth Kern married John Donahoe in Sioux City and to this union were born one son and one daughter, Jack and Mrs. Ed (Sis) O'Connor. Mrs. Donahoe has made her home with her daughter in LeMars for the past eight years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 4, at 2 p.m. at Wiltgen's funeral home and burial will be in the city cemetery.

Mrs. Donahoe was preceded in death by her husband and her son Jack. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Ed O'Connor, and seven grandchildren.
