Mrs. Blanche A. LaBahn, 94, LeMars, formerly of Merrill, died Oct. 6, 1988, at Plymouth Manor Care Center where she had resided the last 13 years.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic Church in Merrill. Rev. Mark Harrington will officiate and burial will be in LeMars Calvary Cemetery under direction of the Luedtke-Feuerstein Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. The parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born Dec. 16, 1893, at Waverly, Minn., to John and Catherine Jordan Pattison. She was raised and educated in Minnesota and taught school in Minnesota and North Dakota before her marriage. She moved to Merrill in 1917 and had lived in that area since that time. She married Edwin LaBahn Dec. 3, 1919, at Omaha. He died in 1940.
She was a member of Our Lady of The Assumption Church, the altar society and church guild, and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Eileen Singer of LeMars, and Mrs. Charles (Mary Jane) Roderick of York, Pa.; 13 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Helene Ludwig, and sister and two brothers.
