D. M. FRANK, STATION AGENT DROPS DEAD WHILE WORKING
Train Delayed Few Minutes By Fatality

Dominick M. Frank, station agent at the Union station, LeMars, fell over and died in a few minutes in the express office shortly before 1 o’clock this afternoon.

Coroner S. H. Luken said that the exact cause of death has not been determined, but that it was undoubtedly because of natural causes.

The north-bound train had just pulled in. While some of those present tried to save the dying man, the conductor ran to a tavern across from the railroad station and telephoned for an ambulance and a doctor. The police car was sent with two officers to help preserve order.

Dominick (D. M.) Frank whose home was at 334 1st Ave. NE was born Nov. 11, 1892, in South Dakota, near Hawarden. He came to LeMars from Dubuque twelve years ago. He took the position of ticket agent on the I. C. Railroad a few months ago when Frank Sudmeyer retired. He was 62 years of age.

On June 11, 1910, he was united in marriage with Philomene Wiebisch in Remsen. One son was born to this union.

Funeral arrangements are tentatively set for Thursday morning at St. Joseph’s Catholic church in LeMars. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke Funeral Home.

Survivors are the widow and one son, Silas M., of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Deceased was a member of the Holy Name Society. The body will be at the funeral home after 7 p. m. on Tuesday.
