LeMars, Iowa—Edna L. Kehrberg, 90, of LeMars died Sunday, June 7, 1992, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars after a two month illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church in LeMars with the Rev. Wayne Gjerde and the Rev. Shirley Textor officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery at Merrill. Visitation will be Friday, with the family present 7-8:30 p.m., and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.
Mrs. Kehrberg was born April 26, 1902, in rural Plymouth County, Washington Township, the daughter of William and Meta (Ehrck) Manz. She attended rural school and graduated from Merrill High School in 1921. She attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls and graduated from Westmar College in 1957. She taught school in several rural schools in Plymouth County, Merrill Public School and Remsen Union School. She married Walter Kehrberg June 24, 1943, in Fort Dodge. He died in 1951.
Mrs. Kehrberg was a 75-year member of the Merrill Methodist Church. She was a member of Martha Circle of Calvary United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine, Daughters of the Nile, Farm Bureau, and Sunshine Club. She was a 50-year member of the Federated Women’s Club.
Survivors include two sisters, Hilda Jans of LeMars and Pearl Manz of Sioux City; a niece, Carol Weidauer and her husband Tim of LeMars; two grandnephews and a grandniece, Jeff, Greg and Nicole Weidauer.
