Mrs. Cyrus P. Knapp, 91, Westfield, died Wednesday (Jan. 17, 1979) in Akron hospital of long illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Thomas Episcopal church at Sioux City. Rev. Daryl Stahl will officiate. Burial will be in Logan Park cemetery.

There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday in the Schroeder funeral home at Akron.

The Order of Eastern Star Vesper Chapter at Akron will conduct services following the prayer service.

Mrs. Knapp, the former Maud E. Fry, was born Dec. 23, 1887, near Westfield. She attended rural schools and Akron high school.

She was married Dec. 23, 1907, at Westfield. They moved to a farm near Westfield, where they lived for 71 years. Mr. Knapp died Feb. 5, 1959.

She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church at Sioux City and the Order of Eastern Star Vesper chapter of Akron.

Survivors are one son, Cyrus A., of Westfield; one daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Kurfiss of Blue Springs, Mo.; two sisters, Violet Fry of Sioux City and Mrs. Ursula Strobel of Akron; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established in Mrs. Knapp’s name to the American Cancer Society.
