Mrs. Sieben Siebens

AKRON, Iowa—Mrs. Sieben Siebens, 86, of Akron, died Saturday at an Akron hospital after a lengthy illness. [Date of death: Nov. 4, 1978, per handwritten entry on the scrapbook page]

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Wesley United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dwight Bonham will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. A prayer service will he held at 7 p.m. today at Schroeder Funeral Home. An Order of the Eastern Star service will follow.

Mrs. Siebens, the former Nellie May Adams, was born Nov. 4, 1882 [per age at death this should be 1892], in Akron. She was married Feb. 20, 1918, in Akron. The couple farmed in the Akron area and retired to Akron in 1968.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Order of the Eastern Star Vesper Chapter 61.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, Rodney and Norman, both of Port Angeles, Wash.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Jans of Akron and Mrs. Eva Christy of Sioux City.
