DEATH CLAIMS HENRY R. CROW, OF CHATSWORTH
Death claimed Henry R. Crow, 63, of Chatsworth, well known in Plymouth and Sioux counties, Friday, December 13, following a long illness.
The funeral was held Monday at the Christian Church in Akron, and interment made in Riverside cemetery, Akron.
Henry R. Crow was born at Moundsville, W. Va., August 26, 1872.
He came west and located in Akron in 1891 and in 1898 was united in marriage with Myrtle Knapp. After their marriage they moved to a farm west of Akron where they remained for twelve years. In 1912, he moved with his family to Chatsworth.
He followed the carpenter trade during his residence in Chatsworth. Eleven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Crow, one dying in infancy. The ten are: George, of Hawarden; Wesley, of Chatsworth; Willie, of Akron; Mont, of Moundsville, W. Va.; Mrs. Violet Miller, of Akron; Mrs. Pansy Cooper, of Worthington, Minn.; Roger, of Moundsville, W. Va.; Robert, Frank and Iva at home.
Mr. Crow was a member of the Christian church at Akron and for several years served as superintendent of the Sunday School. For eighteen years he served as town assessor in Chatsworth.
