LOIS MAE LIAS
AKRON—Lois Mae Lias, 69, of rural Akron, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 18, 1995, at her home.
She was born Oct. 5, 1925, the daughter of Jessie and Lorena (Witt) Kallsen. She graduated from Akron High School in 1943. On Jan. 1, 1945, she married Harvey Lias in Akron, the couple farmed near Akron for many years.
Mrs. Lias was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jerry of Akron and Denny and his wife, Julie, of Yankton, S.D.; a daughter, Debbie Ramon and her husband, Rey, of Mason City; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Evelyn Boetger, of LeMars, Mrs. Pat (Phyllis) Callahan of Fillmore, Calif., Mrs. LuVerne (Violet) Helmrichs of Akron, and Mrs. Wendall (Norma Jean) Borchers of Akron.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clarence Kallsen.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Greenough officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Akron. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today (Thursday) with the family present 7 to 8 p.m. at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.
