George Bauerly Dies At Age 84

Funeral services for George Bauerly, 84, father of Mrs. John A. Peck, of Hawarden, who died at the Sacred Heart Hospital in LeMars Friday, were held at the Luken Funeral home there Sunday afternoon. Rev. Floyd Sartwell of Westmar College officiated with burial in the LeMars cemetery.

Mr. Bauerly was born March 29, 1876, at LeMars, where he later married Mary Robert April 1, 1897. She preceded him in death in 1934. He was also preceded in death by a daughter and two step-sons.

For many years Mr. Bauerly was employed at the Atwood Florist shop in LeMars.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Peck of Hawarden, Mrs. Arthur Johnson, of Sonoita, Ariz., Mrs. Albert Singer, of LeMars and Mrs. Jess Morey, of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; a step-daughter, Mrs. Clifford Flickinger of Berkeley, Calif.; two sons, Arthur Bauerly, of Bell Gardens, Calif., and Dawine Baurely of Chadwick, Ill.; a step son, Mark McPerry of Colvina, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Spaid of LeMars; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
