Miss Edifh Gabel and Lowell Burkett, members of well known Plymouth county families, were married in Sioux city Thursday, July 31 at the Rustin avenue Methodist church, Rev. W. M. Hubbard officiating. The young couple were attended by Miss Alice Gable, a sister of the bride, and Marvin Burkett, a brother of the bridegroom.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Gabel, of Johnson town ship. She is a graduate of the LeMars high school and a popular young woman in a large circle of friends. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Burkett, of Akron vicinity. He has been employed at work in Sioux City the past year and the young people will make their home in that town.
