TWAIN PLEDGE NUPTIAL VOWS
ANNA SIEBENS BECOMES THE BRIDE OF HARVEY TAYLOR, OF WESTFIELD
One of the happy nuptial events of this year was the marriage of Harvey Taylor and Miss Anna Siebens on Wednesday, March 12, 1930, at 1 p.m., at the home of the bride's parents, seven miles southeast of Akron, in the presence of a number of relatives and friends. The impressive ring ceremony was used by Rev. Theo. Meyer, of the Preston township Lutheran church, who officiated. To the time of the Lohengrin wedding chorus, played by Miss Rena Siebens, sister of the Bride, the couple assumed their places unattended, for the service. The bride was becomingly attired in a gown of peach georgette and carried a bouquet of roses and sweet peas.
Following the service a two-course wedding dinner was served at the Siebens home by Miss Rena Siebens, Miss Martha Siebens, Mrs. Andrew Siebens and Mrs. John Siebens. The table was adorned with yellow and white roses and jonquils. The bride's cake was decorated with flowers worn by her parents at their wedding, and she also carried a handkerchief worn by her mother upon that occasion. Rev. Theo. Meyer also officiated at the marriage of her parents thirty-five years ago.
The house was tastefully decorated for the event, the bride's chosen colors, peach and white, being employed.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Esdert Siebens and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Taylor, southeast of Akron. Both young people have spent their entire lives in western Plymouth county and are numbered among our most worthy and popular young people. In this happy mating, their host of friends extend congratulations and wishes for a long and joyous life voyage together.
The newly married couple left the same afternoon on a honey moon trip to points in South Dakota. For her going away gown the bride wore a tan suit. They will be at home to their friends on the L. F. Taylor farm, southeast of Akron, after June 1.
Those present at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Esdert Siebens, Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Taylor and daughter, Peggy; Dorothy and Daryl Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Siebens and sons, Rodney and Norman; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Siebens and son, Edward and daughters, Irene and Agnes; Mr. and Mrs. George Siebens; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Siebens; Mr. and Mrs. John Siebens; Rena, Martha and Chris Siebens; Grandma Huls, Rev. and Mrs. Theo. Meyer and daughter, Marie; Rev. and Mrs. W. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bohlken and family.
