Lee Wendt is bride
Plymouth Presbyterian church in Johnson township was the setting on March 15 for the wedding of Lee Wendt and Craig Bell both of Des Moines.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Wendt, Merrill and her husband is the son of Mrs. Richard Gibson, Des Moines and Wayne Bell, Belmond.
Rev, Charles Kruse read the double ring vows at 6:30 p.m. before the altar decorated with white gladioli.
William Timmins and Mrs. Ralph Taylor sang and they were accompanied at the organ by Mrs. William Timmins.
The bride wore a white floor-length gown in cage design fashioned with high yoke and long tapered sleeves and flowing skirt all of Chantilly lace, Sequins and pearls highlighted the high neckline. The matching lace train fell from the shoulders into a chapel length train. Her petaled headpiece of tulle was encrust¬ed with pearls and held a bouffant veil of illusion.
The bride carried gardenias and white roses with stephanotis.
Vicki Gustafson, Des Moines, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Kathy Ludwigs and Mrs. Rick Mayrose. They wore turquoise A-line floor-length dresses of georgette over satin. They carried nosegays of white carnations.
Mike Caliguiri, Des Moines, was bestman and groomsmen were Randy Bell and Mark Bell. Ushers were Ralph Wendt and Donald Donlin.
A wedding reception was held at Plymouth Presbyterian church parlors following the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Le Mars Community schools and attended AIB in Des Moines. She is employed there with Architects Associated. Her husband is attending Grandview college, Des Moines. The couple is at home at 800 Bancroft, Des Moines.
