Observe 50 Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Clair McCorkell will observe their golden wedding anniversary at the First Baptist Church on Sunday, December 8.
There will be a program in the church auditorium at 2 p.m. followed by a reception in the church basement.
Clair McCorkell and Mable Pike were married December20, 1924 at the First Congregational church in Sioux City by the Rev. Joseph Steele.
Mr. McCorkell served Akron area residents as rural mail carrier for many years until his retirement.
Mr. and Mrs. McCorkell have two daughters, Mrs. Phiylis Wilson of Azusa, Calif, and Mrs. Gladys Clarey of Covina, Calif. One son, Edward, is deceased. They have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
