UNION YOUNG WOMAN MARRIED AT BOONE LAST SATURDAY

Miss Charlotte Parks, daughter of Mrs. Bessie Parks of Union township, and Virgil Lyon of Boone were married at Boone last Saturday.

Following the ceremony an attractive dinner was served to twenty guests at the home of the groom’s parents.

Mrs. Lyon has been a resident of Union township for a number of years and is a graduate of the Union Consolidated high school. She also attended school at Central College, McPherson, Kansas, and for the past year has been teaching at the Union Consolidated school.

After a brief wedding trip, the young couple will be at home to their friends on a farm seven miles north of Boone.

Those from this locality in attendance at the wedding included Mrs. Bessie Parks, Wilbur Parks, Maxine Conaway, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Parks, and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Dempster.
