The 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Mohlmann, 907 West Main St., Pipestone, Minn., was celebrated at the St. Paul Lutheran church in this city on Sunday, May 27.

A dinner, featuring a three-tier cake, was followed by a reception and 4:00 o’clock lunch. There were 150 people present and the couple received many gifts.

Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Mohlmann’s bridesmaid and best man, Mrs. Mohlmann’s sister, Mrs. Ernest Busch and her brother, John Lemcke. Mrs. Mohlmann wore her bridal veil and all who took part in the wedding 60 years ago, wore the same corsages that were worn then.

Six of the children of Mr. and Mrs. Mohlmann were present: Mr. and Mrs. John Mohlmann of Sioux Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Ed (Marie) Erks and family of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Albert Kruger of Holland, Minn., Mrs. Hilda Hartson and family of Sioux Falls, George Mohlmann and family of Merrill, Iowa, and Alma Mohlmann, at home. Another daughter, Mrs. Art Pollock (Minnie) of Garden Grove, Calif., could not be present. Rev. and Mrs. Schmiege were also guests, and the day was enjoyed by all.

60th Anniversary for Mohlmann’s

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Mohlmann of Pipestone, Minnesota, are show in a recent photo, the occasion being their 60th wedding anniversary.

Open House will be held at the Lutheran church parlors in Pipestone on Sunday, May 27, 1962, during the afternoon. All their friends are invited to call at this time.

Herman Mohlmann and Ida Lemcke were married at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lemcke at Akron on May 22, 1902. They have been residents of Pipestone for the past 30 years.

Their children are John Mohlmann, Sioux Falls; George Mohlmann, of Merrill; Mrs. Hilda Hartsen, of Sioux Falls; Mrs. Marie Erks of Tucson; Mrs. Clara Kruger of Holland, Minnesota; Mrs. Minnie Pollock of Garden Grove, California; and Alma, at home.

Mr. Mohlmann is a brother of Mrs. Dora Bonnema of LeMars and John Mohlmann of Hawarden.
