June 18, 1953Shown in a photo (below) by Naef are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lundgren, lifetime Fredonia township residents, who will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on Thursday, June 25, 1953. They will be hosts at Open House at their home from two to five and from seven to ten o’clock on that day. No invitations have been issued.
Grace Baldwin and Albert Lundgren were married June 25, 1903, at their present farm home by Rev. Skaggs of the Seney Methodist church. Their attendants were Lora Baldwin and Cora Perry. Mrs. Agnes Ladenburger, nee Weber, played the wedding march.
Mr. Lundgren was born near Moline, Illinois, and when a boy his parents moved to Worthington, Minnesota. Mrs. Lundgren was born near Marcus, Iowa, her parents being pioneers of Fredonia township.
They have lived at their present home for fifty-five years, where Mrs. Lundgren has been a member of the ladies aid at the Lutheran church at Oyens. Mr. Lundgren served for ten years as secretary and treasurer for the Farm Bureau and for fifteen or twenty years on the school board. He has been president of the creamery board of Orange City for a number of years and has taken an active part in organization of the Farm Bureau. Twenty-five years ago he also took an active part in organizing baseball clubs in his community and was interested in 4-H work.
The couple have three living children who are: Robert, in Fredonia township; Mrs. Arnold Patterson, of LeMars; and Allen Lundgren, living at home. Two sons, a twin of Robert died in infancy and Floyd passed away when two years of age.
There are five grandchildren who are Mrs. John Ferris, of Quimby; Sharon and Larry Patterson, Sandra and Dennis Lundgren, of LeMars.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lundgren longtime residents of Fredonia township, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Wednesday, June 25. Family members honored the couple at a dinner at Hammer’s Restaurant.
Grace Baldwin and Albert Lundgren were married June 25, 1903, at the home of the bride’s parents in Fredonia township. Both came to this county with their parents. Mrs. Lundgren, 80, was born in Pennsylvania. A native of Illinois, he is 78.
The couple has resided in Fredonia township ever since their marriage. Mr. Lundgren retired from farming three years ago. The couple has two sons, Allen and Robert, who both farm in Fredonia township near the home place, and daughter, Mrs. Gladys Patterson, of LeMars. There are five grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Attending the family dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lundgren, Dennis and Sandra; Mrs. Gladys Patterson and Larry; Allen Lundgren; Mary Gunther; George Lundgren; and Mrs. Mary Baldwin and Lindsey. Grandchildren unable to attend were Mr. and Mrs. John Ferris of California and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Faubion and Kurtis Wayne, of Colorado.

June 13, 1963LUNDGREN 60TH ANNIVERSARY, JUNE 25
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lundgren will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, June 25. Open House will be held continuously from 2 to 8 p.m. at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Gladys Patterson at 812 2nd Ave. SE, LeMars. A family dinner will be served at noon.
No invitations have been issued and the couple requests that no gifts be sent.
Mr. and Mrs. Lundgren were married June 25, 1903, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Baldwin near Oyens, Iowa. They still make their home on a farm in Fredonia township north of LeMars, with their son Allen.
Mr. Lundgren, who will be 83 in August, was born at Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Lundgren, who is 85, is a native of Marcus, Ia.
The couple has two sons, Robert Lundgren of LeMars and Allen at home and the daughter, Mrs. Patterson of LeMars, 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
