4-1-1901Married—At the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Sarah Tucker, southeast of Akron, on Wednesday, March 27, 1901 Mr. Howard McCorkell and Miss Estella Maud Tucker. This most happy event occurred in the presence of the relatives and a few intimate friends of the contracting parties, Rev. L. A. McCaffee performing the ceremony.
Both the groom and bride are too well known in this vicinity to require any introduction. They have passed the major portion of their lives here and only words of praise and commendation can be spoken of either.
The groom is an honorable and upright young man, and an industrious and thrifty farmer. The bride is a most estimable and popular young lady, possessed of those loveable and womanly attributes which are essential in the making a good wife. With two such characters joining heart and hand for life, it is not a matter of conjecture in foretelling for them an abundance of happiness and prosperity throughout their future lives. Mr. and Mrs. McCorkell will reside in Akron at the McCorkell residence on Reed street.
