Lois McCorkell

The marriage of Melvin Nielsen, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. N.P. Nielson, residing west of Akkron, and Miss Lois McCorkell, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard McCorkell, of Akron was solemnized at the Roseni Lutheran parsonage, south of Beresford, S.D. at 11:30 A. M. Wenesday, February 16, 1938, Rev. M. O. Ensberg officiating. they were atteneded by Miss Jeanne McCorkell, sister of the bride, and Clarence Beeler, a friend of the groom. The bride wore a light blue gown, white accessories and carried a bouquet of sweet peas. Her bridesmaid was attired in a dark blue gown, with blue accessories, and wore a corsage of sweet peas and baby breath.

The bride was born and grew up in Akron, graduating from the high school with the class of 1937. the bridegroom is a progressive young farmer. They will make their home on the Nielson farm after March 1.
