St. Boniface Church of Sioux City, was the scene of a pretty wedding ceremony at nine o'clock Saturday morning, November 8, 1947, when Miss Phyllis M. Dierking, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dierking of Sioux City became the bride of Cpl. James A. Clarey of the U. S. Air Corps, son of Clifford Clarey east of Westfield. Rev. Fr. Regis read the nuptial mass before the altar, which was decorated with Crysanthemums.
The bride was becomingly gowned in a tailored suit of brown with black accessories, and wearing a corsage of yellow chrysanthemums and pompoms.
The groom wore the traditional Uniform of the Air Corps. The couple was attended by Miss Mary Clarey, sister of the g:room, who wore, a grey tailored suit with black accessories and a corsage of red roses and Thomas Clarey, brother of the groom, who wore a business suit. After a short honeymoon the groom will report back to Offutt Field, Neb., where he is stationed) and his bride will accompany him there to stay until he receives his discharge.
Besides the immediate families,the guests attending the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. John Clarey, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Graham and Earl Graham of Merrill, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Belt of Sioux City Misses Margie Harvey, lona Trometer, and Gladys McCorkell.
