St. Joseph church of Ellendale was the scene of a pretty wedding Wednesday morning, February 7 [1945], at 9:30, when Miss Patricia Clarey, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. John Cleary [Clarey]of Merrill and Dwight Graham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Graham also of Merrill were married, with Rev. Father Zeno Riesing performing the ceremony.

Miss Ruth Graham of Sioux City, cousin of the groom was bridesmaid and Jack Clarey, brother of the bride was best-man.

The bride was charming in a wedding gown of white satin under net, the finger tip veil was held in place with a crown of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and gardenias with ribbon streamers tied with tiny sweet peas. She wore a string of pearls and carried a pearl rosary, gifts of the groom.

The bridesmaid wore a blue floor length gown with marquisette skirt and a blue shoulder length veil. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and sweet peas.

The bride's mother wore a black crepe dress with sequin trim and the groom's mother navy blue crepe dress with white accessories, both wore gardenia corsages. Following the ceremony, the bridal party drove to Sioux City for a wedding breakfast.

A wedding dinner was served in the home of the bride's parents at 1 o'clock and a reception held from 4 to 6. A four tier wedding cake was an appropriate centerpiece for the bride's table which was attractively decorated in her chosen colors of blue and white.

Table honors were accorded Misses Wilma Kuhrts and Beryl Hartness.
