OPEN HOUSE AT 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. John Koch, of Akron, are shown in a photo by Naef Studio, LeMars, the occasion being their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Koch will be honored at Open House on Sunday, February 16, from 2 to 5 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church parlors, Preston township.

All friends and relatives are cordially invited to call on the occasion of their anniversary. No invitations have been sent.

The couple were married February 19, 1908, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Milbrodt, Sr.

They live at Akron now and have lived there their entire lives with the exception of seven years when they lived in LeMars at which time Mr. Koch was employed with the police department.

They are the parents of nine children: William, LeMars; Mrs. Delia Wilken of Akron; Mrs. Lillian Schroeder of Hartley; August of Vancouver, Wash.; Mrs. Lorena Gabel, of Akron; Lt. Commander Henry Koch of Brunswick, Georgia; Pastor Lowell Koch of Waterloo; Mrs. Minnie Borchers of Akron; and Mrs. Evelyn Rademacher of Ireton. They have 32 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
