WEDDING WAS A SURPRISE
Miss Laura Brucher and Charles R. Alsop Are Married

Miss Laura Brucher, of this city, and Charles Richard Alsop, of Sioux City, were quietly married on Saturday afternoon at the home of Rev. F. X. Feuerstein, of St. Joseph’s church, who performed the ceremony.

Miss Cora Brucher, a sister of the bride, and Henry Haakinson, of Sioux City, were attendants.

The marriage came as a surprise to the relatives of the bride who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Brucher, of this city. She was born and reared in Remsen and later graduated from a college in the East. She is very popular with a large circle of friends.

The bridegroom is a young business man in Sioux City and is engaged in the coal trade.

They left for Sioux City immediately after the ceremony and will be at home to their friends at 3230 Jones street, after July 1st.
