Jan 16, 1973 - The Reporter - Glenn William Zeigler, 63, of Emmetsburg, died Jan. 12 at the Palo Alto County Hospital. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 15 from the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chester Waterman officiating.

Glenn Zeigler was born Dec. 29, 1909 in Manville, Illinois, to Arthur J. and Etta Cox Zeigler. He has lived in Palo Alto County since 1910. Mr. Zeigler was a farmer, a fifteen year member of the ASC board, a member of the Knights of Pythias, and was active in many other community organizations. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by two brothers, Fay Zeigler of Emmetsburg and Ralph Zeigler of Lebanon, Ore., and four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Strange of Mason City, Mrs. Alta Norland of Titonka, Mrs. Lela Murphy of Emmetsburg and Mrs. Avis Iverson of Eagle Grove.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery with the Sietsema-Bails Funeral Home in charge. Graveside services were conducted by the VFW. Casketbearers were Jack Gappa, Jack Tunnicliff, Kerber Orsborn, Glenn Goddard, Robert Grethen and Harlan Place. Henry Hankey accompanied by Mrs. Rodney Raveling sang, "How Great Thou Art."
